About Me
We are thrilled to welcome Matt to the MCC team as our new Director of Clubhouse Operations. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a deep passion for delivering exceptional service.
A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business Management. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles at prominent establishments including the MGM Grand Detroit, The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas/Culinary Arts Catering, the Arizona Biltmore Waldorf Astoria, and most recently, Seville Golf & Country Club in Gilbert, where he served as Club Manager.
During his time at Seville, Matt was instrumental in creating a positive workplace culture, elevating food and beverage offerings, enhancing service levels, and successfully leading major events—including the prestigious LPGA Ford Championship in 2024.
Matt is a lifelong student of hospitality. He is a Certified Cicerone and Level I Sommelier and will be pursuing his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation and Level II Sommelier certification.
In his role as Director of Clubhouse Operations, Matt will oversee critical departments such as food & beverage, catering & events, locker rooms, housekeeping, and maintenance. He will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while working closely with the senior leadership team to enhance the member experience, support employee engagement, and drive excellence throughout the Club.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his wife Kelly and their two sons, Warren (5) and Beckett (3). Together, they enjoy traveling, camping, fishing, gardening, cooking, attending sporting events, and much more.
We are excited for the energy and experience Matt brings to our club and are confident he will be a valuable asset to the MCC community!
